Ocean freight

refers to the transportation of goods by sea using cargoships. It is one of the most common methods for international trade, involvingthe movement of large quantities of goods over long distances across oceans.Ocean freight is typically used for bulk items, heavy machinery, vehicles, andlarge shipments that are not time-sensitive.

There are two main types of ocean freight shipping:

  1. Full Container Load (FCL): In this case, a shipper uses an entire container for their goods.
  2. Less than Container Load (LCL): Multiple shippers share a container, each paying for the portion of space their goods occupy.

Ocean freight is known for being cost-effective for largevolumes of cargo, but it is slower compared to air freight. It involves variousprocesses such as customs clearance, port handling, and documentation.
